hi, i'm doing my once a year update.  It's a good year so far, lots of happenings, lots of work, very little time, stress, fun, and other stuff.  As for StereoD, we are finally taking the music thing seriously and started recording sessions...our first CD will be out soon.  Other than that, i don't have much more to say because it's 4am, and i'm tired.  I'll try updating again sooner...perhaps

My friend JoJo introduced me to a great site www.urbandictionary.com.  It's got the newest street-wise jibberish and all its sweet definitions.  Jojo found out that "JoJo" means "flaming homosexual" in ebonglish.  So let's look up diddy shall we?

diddy
50 up, 17 down

1) a self absorbed singer/actor/rapper/cloth ing designer who never wrote his own lyrics ever who seems to think its cool to change his name every 2 weeks

yo my name is diddy

i thought it was p diddy

nah i just changed it my new name is did

i thought it was diddy?

nah i just changed it again to D

Another Definition:
Diddy
22 up, 8 down

A word used in West Central Scotland to describe a woman's breast.

It can also be used to insult someone by comparing him or her to a woman’s breast/ tit.

That cunts a’ pure diddy man.

Geez a swatch a’ yer diddies!

And finally, a definition from the great and wise people from "the Daily show"
diddy
11 up, 5 down

According to Rob Corddry of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, It is the act of female masturbation.

"Diddy - thats what girls do to get off right?" - Rob Corddry

Presents:

So It's a new year, and i got this!      Thanks Edo, Ray, Bean, Dre, and Lexo!  (Ipod Nano! w0000t)  New years resolutions suck!  But here's mine for all you xanga-ers, I will post at least once every 1 to 12 months, or whenever i feel as though i would like bother myself to waste my time, and i'll enlighten your minds with my words of wisdom.

Academia

My professor liked one of my pictures from my photography final so much that she sent it to a magazine to get published!!!  The magazine is a small distro-type mag called "adbusters" and i'll scan the picture and post it up on this as soon as i find the time to do so.  (i rock) =)

Family time

This holiday season was a great time for me and my family to do some bonding, I feel as though i'm finally understanding my parents for the first time in history, and they still don't understand how the hell they produced a son that is so different from them.  But hey, at least they love me (they HAVE to) muhahaha.  But more importantly, i feel as though I have the best older brother in the world; not too many brothers can say that.  And all my friends, all 2 of them (lol j/k).  To all my friends, I truly am a blessed man to know all of yous even though yall can be jerks sometimes j/k.  I hope EVERYONE had a merry christmas, and i hope you all will have an inconceivably extraordinary year.

Musicians

I've been playing a lot of jazz on my beautiful guitarra (1975 Fender Stratocaster made in Japan), and a lot of blues as well.  For some reason, Winter has been a good year for me, and wrote many songs.  StereoD will be back in action soon, so be prepared.  We posted a couple of our songs on "soundbyte" but since it wasn't copyrighted, someone else used our tracks!!!  We will be looking for more gigs in a few months (hopefully, if everyone has time to meet up and practice).  All is well with the bandies.  Also, i've decided that I have one guitar too many and am selling an electric guitar, so those who are interested (and can afford it), I'm selling my "Joe Satriani" signature guitar (lots of work went into it).  It's beautifully black and has a floyd rose double locking trem and I took out those crappy stock humbuckers and put in Fralin hums (7.5k on the neck and 9.5k on the bridge).  It's been tuned up by Norik Renson himself, so the action is masterfully done, and the frets have been sanded down to perfection.  Asking price is $1,000.oo even. (first come first serve, sorry)

Politics, or the lack thereof

The more I do research on politics, the more it poli-ticks me off!  First, Bush is elected president by rigging the vote; then, California's race for governor turns into a joke. NOW, everyone's pissed off at the people they voted for...stupidity stupidity stupidity.  Now don't get me wrong, i voted for Bush ONLY because he was the lesser of the two devils, but sometimes, just sometimes, he says things and does things that just makes him look like a moron.

http://politicalhumor.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=politicalhumor&zu=http%3A%2F%2Fanon.salon.speedera.net%2Fanon.salon%2Fmedia%2F2004%2F10%2FBushUncensored.mov HA HA mr bush, very funny, very funny indeed.

http://release.theplatform.com/content.select?pid=B9VLDazWialomHyrhcsC6BaNlrGk7PdC&UserName=Unknown  Yes Mr. Bush, we must also think of ways to harm our country.

The man who tried to shoot Pope John Paul II was released, and many people who supported him where standing outside upon his release, and a lady even threw flowers at him...what the hell is our world coming to?  I mean, it would be fine if they were supporting him for disliking the pope very much, but he tried to kill a man!!! does that mean anything to you people???  Oh, let's just let all our morals and ethics fly out the window and why not start a fan club for all the child molestors and serial killers too?  OOOH! Look! it's Charles Manson! Can i get your autograph?!  Oh, wait, that was meant to be a joke, but what do we have here? A Charles Manson Tamagotchi? http://www.jbum.com/tama/tama.html  ...sigh...

I saw the movie Deuce Bigalow male gigolo, the first one, for the first time (don't watch it if you haven't already seen it).  But there was this one character that intrigued me.  It was a lady who called for deuce's "service" but she had turrets syndrome, of course, she was shy and embarrassed about it, but it made me think, "i wish i had it at certain times."  I recall all those times in my life where i said some stupid things that i could've gotten away with, or things i would be able to get away with even now.  Those of you who have it and want to get rid of it, share your wealth and give some to me, i'll take it happily.  So the next time my boss would hand me my check and i open it, i can say "CRAP! ASS! BALLS!" without people staring at me like i'm crazy or something.  Oh well, one can only dream, I'll just stick with my narcolepsy and fall asleep during my lectures.

Funnies

So that's what Ronald looks like without his makeup!

I really don't wanna know what his super powers are...

Ahhh yes, beautiful New York, Carifornia, the city of dreams...

No cheating!

Why I am far superior to you

I once slept 28 hours knocked up of a flu medicine called "contac"

My name is Diddy

There is a rich and famous musical artist with the same name

We are identical in many ways (except the fortune, and the fame, and the girls, the jewelry, skin color, etc.)  many many ways

You are not diddy

I can play guitar............with my eyes closed!

My guitar amp does indeed go to 11 (for all those musicians out there)

My friend can play the super mario brothers theme on guitar........with his eyes closed!

My other personality found the cure for CANCER AND AIDS!  he just hasn't come out yet.

I can drink a gallon of milk in one sitting without throwing up! for 10 seconds!

I live 1 block away from UCSB AND 2 blocks away from the beach!

I recycle, like a maniac!

I can drive with one hand and look cool..............with my eyes closed!

If you still think you're better than me, you're wrong (please refer to the top of this entry). Don't deny, trust; remember, acceptance is the first step of healing.

this is the end of my ramblings, see you in several months

Hmmm...my last xangay update was in February....Anyway, here's another random rant.
It's a CNN report about the melting Polar Ice Caps.

Report: Ice-free Arctic summers possible by 2100

Scientists: 'We will have to live with the outcome'

Thursday, September 29, 2005; Posted: 2:57 a.m. EDT (06:57 GMT)

NEW YORK, (Reuters) -- The Arctic ice shelf has melted for the fourth straight year to its smallest area in a century, driven by rising temperatures that appear linked to a buildup of greenhouse gases, U.S. scientists said Wednesday.

To learn more about this catastrophe, visit the link at:  http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/science/09/28/arctic.melting.reut/index.html

"

As of September 21, the Arctic sea ice area had dropped to 2.05 million square miles (5.31 million square km), the report said.

From 1978 to 2000, the sea ice area averaged 2.70 million square miles (7 million square km), the report said. It noted the melting trend had shrunk Inuit hunting grounds and endangered polar bears, seals and other wildlife.  (Cnn.com)

Scientists say the Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the globe because water or bare earth, once uncovered, soaks up more heat than ice and snow. That process means melting can spur even warmer temperatures and more melting. Scientists say the Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the globe because water or bare earth, once uncovered, soaks up more heat than ice and snow. So, with us being devastated by Hurricane Katrina and other crises, we are all running around with our heads cut off.  Some people say it was a sign of God's wrath on New Orleans, which I think is just rubbish.  Others say it was simply because of location and depth of sea-level which made it inevitable for a day in which something like Katrina would happen.  I think people need to look beyond the circle and look at the Polar ice shelves, they are melting at an unexpected rate by the scientists.  I, personally, see two major problems concerning the melting of the Arctic ice shelves.  1:  We will see more and more devastating events like the TSUNAMI (did everyone forget about that?) in Asia of 2004, as well as other events such as Katrina.  Why do I believe so?  Well, If the icecaps melt off, we will have much more water in the oceans (by theory) which may engulf places like California's coastal areas, Florida, and others.  Also, we can't forget about the new epidemics that these crises may create.  Such as: The Aviant flu. http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1111569,00.html?cnn=yes

It would also mean extremely hot summers, especially due to our growing greenhouse effect caused by pollution of the atmosphere from our toxic gases; and even COLDER winters.

2:  I don't understand why this issue is RARELY mentioned anywhere, but I read it a few times in magazines such as "Time", "National Geographic", and "Maxim" (yes, maxim actually contains some intelligent research articles).  The issue is of the fact that the amount of drinking water we have is slowing down more and more.  My first issue with this is that Water is a NATURAL RESOURCE!!!!  I really don't comprehend why it is that a person, or a company, or even a government can just bottle up the water, claim it as theirs and sell it for their profit.  I think soon we might even have to pay to breath oxygen seeing how bad our pollution situation is becoming.  Anyway, water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink... may soon become reality.  People say "but it's okay, we have Brita and PUR and other crappy water filters that eliminate 99.9% of the bad stuff in water."  To those people, "Have you ever worried that the .01% may just be the WORST thing in the water for you?"   Still others say that we can distill water (the process of boiling and collecting steam) for drinking use.   Sure, technically it works, but that means that we would be able to distill the water from our urine and drink it!!! WOOHOO!!! Distilled water!!!  No thanks.  And if you think that we can do that with Ocean water...sure we can...but that'll just speed up the death of oceanlife, which will eventually kill off other life, which will eventually kill off us humans.  Not only that but what do we do when we drink all the Ocean's water?  You may laugh at the thought now, but the World's population is 6,446,131,400 more or less According to http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2119rank.html
that's the CIA's count of the population.  Almost 6.5 BILLION people and the numbers grow exponentially...and whether you are a newborn baby, or a wrinkled old person, you need to drink water.

"The body loses two to three liters of water per day, which is excreted in bodily functions like urination and sweating," explains Silverstein. "But what many people don't realize is that by the time we do feel thirsty we're already in a water deficit."

"The average person should try to drink two liters and then take in additional fluid from the foods you eat," says Silverstein. For example, even a soda cracker has water in it -- four percent to be exact. Lettuce is 96 percent water, watermelon 85 percent, and milk 84 percent. So every food on your plate can boost your water levels with their own natural supply."  (http://umanitoba.fitdv.com - Toronto registered dietician Robin Silverstein.)

I'm horrible at math but I know that if a person should try to drink two liters of water every day, Mutiply that by their entire lifetime, and that's an insane amount of water for just ONE person!!!  Then multiply that about with 6.5 billion...Don't forget though, that the numbers of persons on this planet grows exponentially...so the numbers don't stop there...enough said.

Anyway, there's a little bit of food for thought for you people who wanted me to update my xangay.  If you don't believe me, you have access to the internet, do some research!  Peace

Diddy
